Supporting a charity like the Lymphoma Association can help companies deliver against business objectives such as boosting staff morale, driving footfall and promoting good corporate citizenship. Fundraising can provide brand and social impact both locally and nationally as well as make a measurable difference to those affected by lymphoma in the UK.
The LA welcomes charitable donations from businesses whether large or small, one off or long term support. All donations will be gratefully received and will go directly towards the services we provide. We would love to hear from you if you are interested in making a charitable donation and would like to hear more about our projects and services.
How your money can help:
- £2 could fund a copy of our award winning 'Lymphomas' booklet providing invaluable information and reassurance to someone newly diagnosed
- £5 could enable us to set up a 'Buddy' Link - a link via phone or email from a patient/relative/carer/friend to a 'Buddy' (an individual who supports another by sharing their own similar experience)
- £5.50 could fund an information pack giving a newly diagnosed patient details on the support they can get from the Lymphoma Association and background information on the illness
- £15 could fund a call to the Helpline from someone who may be frightened or panicked, or who is desperate to understand more about their illness
- £20 could enable a Patient Support Officer (PSO) to answer an email query that empowers someone with the more in-depth knowledge they need
- £20 could enable a Patient Support Officer (PSO) to liaise with patients in our online Chat Room giving them the chance to ask questions anonymously
- £30 could fund a Hospital Professional Pack sent out to medical professionals who may be new in post and need to understand how the Lymphoma Association can support their patients
- £150 could fund annual training and ongoing guidance for a 'Buddy'
- £400 could enable us to set-up a Lymphoma Association support group made up of individuals who are, or have been, affected in some way by lymphoma; whether patient, family member, friend or carer
- £40,000 could fund a Lymphoma Nurse Specialist for a year within an NHS Haematology Unit

Case study:
Insurance services provide Thomas Miller supports the Lymphoma Association both through corporate donations and employee fundraising.
With an annual donation of £4,000, the charity committee is making a huge contribution to our work in supporting people affected by lymphatic cancer.
As well as this regular corporate support, in August 2009, 5 Thomas Miller employees took part in the Mazda London Triathlon, raising over £2,600.00 for the charity and finishing the event in 2hr 54 mins.
