Fundraising events help to raise awareness of lymphoma as well as raising money for the Lymphoma Association. Holding your own event is great fun and you really will be making a big difference.
Lymphatic Cancer Awareness Week in September is an annual period of heightened awareness and fundraising for the charity, but there are many different ways you can fundraise for us at any time throughout the year. The Fundraising Team will offer you lots of help and support in planning your fundraising event and you will find the experience very rewarding. Whatever event you decide to organise, we will be here to offer you advice and tips to help make your event a success. We can also supply you with a range of materials to support your event such as collecting tins, balloons, banners and posters.

There are 101 ways to have fun raising money for the Lymphoma Association. The thing to remember when you are thinking of organising an event is to keep it simple and choose something you are going to enjoy yourself! The small events are sometimes the best!

The family...
How about taking part in the Great British Tea Break, holding a bring and buy sale or organising a treasure hunt for the kids?
The entertainer...
Why not show off your culinary skills and hold a dinner party, garden party or cheese and wine evening in aid of the Lymphoma Association? Alternatively, you could hold a karaoke evening or organise a quiz night at your local pub!
eBay for charity...
If you would like to hold an eBay auction – remember to select the ‘eBay for charity’ option. You can then decide what percentage of your final selling price you would like to donate. Every time you list an item for charity, you’ll get a fee credit on you basic insertion and final value fees equal to the percentage you donate. So if you donate 50% of your selling price to a charity, eBay will waive 50% of your fees. It’s the perfect way to make a difference – while doing what you do every day on eBay. Why not have a dress down day or put a swear box in the office or hold a sweepstake for a sporting event? Easier still you could take a Lymphoma Association collection box for us.

If you decide to hold your own event, do ensure you contact your local media to see if you can drum up some support.
