Home-based with occasional travel for meetings at head office in Aylesbury
Full-time equivalent of £27,000 to £31,000 per annum, pro rata (ie, £19,286 to £22,143 p/a for a 25-hour working week), dependent on experience
The Lymphoma Association is a national charity that provides award-winning information and support to people affected by lymphoma (lymphatic cancer) – the fifth most common cancer in the UK. We also work with and support the healthcare practitioners who care for lymphoma patients.
We are looking for an experienced writer/editor to be responsible for:
- producing accessible patient information in both digital and printed formats
- researching, drafting and editing information for people affected by lymphoma
- taking the role of Content Lead for videos (both medical/expert and patient/carer experience)
- social media marketing of new and existing publications.
The role requires someone with experience of working in an editorial/publishing environment, who is able to manage a number of publication projects concurrently, and also to line-manage two staff members. Meticulous attention to detail is essential, as is an understanding of the importance of high quality, accessible information. The role offers the opportunity to be make a major impact on the lives affected by lymphoma, while also being part of a focused, passionate and high-performing Publications Team.
